Karleen Hallock loves a good journey. Her own journey has brought her all the way from South America, where she grew up, right here to Epic Church and the Elkhart community she now serves.

As the Pastor of Community Engagement in Elkhart, Karleen focuses on building meaningful relationships between the church and the community, creating spaces where people can belong, be known, and encounter Jesus. She’s been a part of Epic from the very beginning, and her story is one of many interwoven into the journey of our church. Discovering people’s stories and helping them find their place in God’s story is a deep passion of Karleen’s.
“I love seeing individuals connect with Jesus and with one another,” she says. “I love watching people take courageous next steps in faith, serving their community, and discovering how God wants to use them. I love hearing stories of transformation, building partnerships, and seeing hope come alive when people realize there is a God who deeply loves them and has a purpose for their lives.”

If you can’t tell already, Karleen loves interacting with people. When she’s not at church or out in the community, you’ll find her with friends, enjoying the outdoors, or reading a challenging book.
